I wish I had these cards sooner. They help me remember oganisms because each organism is like a "character." I'm a visual learner so the colors and pictures really keep the organisms in my memory and I can associate them with pathology better. The cards also have mnemonics that can help you determine what drug treamtents. Also, the cards show how to distinguish them based on gram stain, growth media, etc. They are really organize! I really love these cards! I suggest checking out the cards and how they look like to see if they will suit your learning style. It is definitely worth the money!Product details

Excellent for board studying. Highly recommend and it comes with a box. It is nice for quizzing and helping you remember everything.
I never remember micro anything! (No really, I never do). These cards are helping me remember bugs. Every section comes with an outline card which are great! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THESE DURING MED SCHOOL COURSEWORK.

Yes, the pictures are horrendously corny, but that in & of itself is the reason why you still remember them after looking at them only 2-3 times!
For instance, when I think Legionella, I can remember the watertower (source) in the background and the legionnaire w/ silver buttons (silver stain).
Better than any other micro cards out there!
These cards are genius. Due to them, I have been able to learn many facts about each medicine, continuously, over the past year. I constantly refer to them as they come with numerous mnemonics interwoven within the mnemonics. I do not know how I could have memorized all the details I have memorized without these cards. I use the cards as a study notebook too I add additional info to the cards with my color pens. These cards are an encyclopedia of amazing methods of learning.
I have actually lost a couple of the cards and wonder if there is any way of acquiring those specific cards again...?
These cards work great for med school microbiology class. I think it's probably best to use these cards in conjunction with another learning source like micro made ridiculously simple, just to help you get the big picture.
These are not flashcards in the traditional sense, but rather information organizing cards, like info graphics really.
I originally bought these for Step-1 prep because it was my lowest portion on all of my NBME practice test and UWorld. After 1-2 passes with these cards my microbio section went up and I ended up with a high score & star on the real thing. These cards are full of funny pictures about the various bugs that one will face on the boards and wards and will help retention throughout your medical career. I suggest that anyone struggling with microbiology to purchase these cards and you will see a dramatic improvement in your ability to retain the minutiae details of the numerous microbes.
